༄༅། རི Ri Guides specializes in organizing mountaineering expeditions and treks in the Himalayas and Eastern Karakoram. We focus on climbing safely and sharing a sense of responsibility towards the mountains and its environment, following Leave No Trace environmental standards and work with the local people.
For a more enjoyable and personal experience on a climbing expedition, our goal is to climb on less crowded mountains and keep our groups to a limited number of climbers.
We also organize customized trips and provide logistical support.

Tsewang Namgyal (Founder and Mountain Guide)
Tsewang Namgyal specializes in guiding in the Himalayas and the Eastern Karakoram. He started guiding in 2004 and has developed sound knowledge of the Himalayas. He has 19+ years of experience in Mountain Guiding numerous trekking and mountaineering expeditions across the Himalayan belt. An avid explorer of new peaks and Ice climbs in Ladakh for the last 5 years.
Currently, training with the Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA) (member of IFMGA), Nepal; to be certified as a mountain guide, with the International Federation of Mountain Guide Association (IFMGA/UIAGM/IVBV), Bern, Switzerland. The IFMGA is the exclusive international umbrella federation for all mountain guide associations. This is the highest standard of certification for mountain guides internationally.
He is currently serving as an executive member and the Technical Convenor of the Ladakh Mountain Guide Association (LMGA).
